Social media marketing has evolved from just posting on one social media to posting on multiple social media.
It’s no longer just enough to only focus on social media because you will be losing out on the people who are on other social media.
It sounds daunting for example to write tweets on Twitter/𝕏, post them, screenshot them, use a tool like Canva to beautify your screenshot then finally post on Instagram.
Or if you want to post a reel, screenshot a tweet, go to a video editing tool, find a video you like, add your sound, and overlay your tweet on top.
The good news is that you can do all of this automatically with the help of social media managing tools like Hypefury.
In this post, we will take a look at how to repurpose your Twitter content to Instagram content.

How to Turn Tweets to Instagram Posts
Apart from going the long way of screenshotting your tweets and using an editing tool like Canva to create Instagram posts, you can use Hypefury to do this automatically.
With Hypefury, you can choose to cross post your tweets to Instagram when your scheduling them. This means you just write the tweet once, enabled the option to cross post on Instagram, then you schedule your tweet.
When the time you schedule your tweet to be posted reaches, not only will your tweet be posted on Twitter/𝕏 but an optimized screenshot of your tweet (Tweetshot) will be posted to Instagram as well. Without you lifting a finger. No extra step required.
Here is how you can turn your tweets to Instagram posts:
1. Go to the composer and write your tweet.
2. On the platforms tabs, enable Instagram (You must connect your Instagram account for this)
3. Upon enabling Instagram, you will be sent to preview your Tweetshot (optimized screenshot of your tweet) where you can also write your caption
4. You also have the additional options such as adding a custom last slide (for threads), using a long format (if you have a longer tweet) or using a larger font if you want your Tweetshots to have a larger font.
Note: if you want all the tweets you write to be cross posted to Instagram then you can enable this option by going to Powerups and turning on the ‘Post Tweet to IG‘ option.
You can also post your past tweets to Instagram if you didn’t have the chance to post them before or if you want to repost your old tweets to Instagram.
Here is how you can do it:
1. Head over to the Queue page
2. Select an Instagram slot (if you don’t have any Instagram slot you can make on the Schedule tab)
3. Once the Instagram slot opens, click the camera icon to open a modal that show your past tweets.
4. Choose all the tweets you want, and click done.
5. Now you can choose a time to schedule your tweets to Instagram.
Note: There are multiple Tweetshot templates (themes) and colors that you can choose from.
Just go to Settings then composer settings and you can choose the themes and the colors you want to customize your Tweetshots to match your brand and style.
How to Turn Tweets to Reels
The same way that you can automatically turn tweets to Instagram posts, you can also use Hypefury to turn tweets to Reels.
Here is how you can turn your tweets to Reels:
1. Head over to the Dashboard page.
2. On the Tweet to Reel section, cycle through your best tweets and choose which tweet you can to generate a reel for.
Note: Currently you can not choose any tweets that you want and you are limited to your best performing tweets.
3. Once you find the tweet you want to generate a reel for, you can choose to edit one from the two generated reels.
4. On the editing page, you can choose the background video you want and the sound you want (Different sounds have different length thus impacting the length of your reel)
5. Schedule your reel to Instagram.
This feature is new and we are experimenting with it. We plan to add more features on top of it such as the option to choose your own tweets, add your own videos, sounds and much more.
