What is a LinkedIn Profile URL?
A LinkedIn profile URL is a unique web address that points to your LinkedIn profile. Just like other URLs (Uniform Resource Locator), it specifies the exact location where people can find your LinkedIn profile. And when clicked, it takes the user directly to your LinkedIn profile.
Your LinkedIn profile URL follows this format: www.linkedin.com/in/yourname/
It is important to know your LinkedIn URL so that you can share it with other people, on your resume, or on your other social media.
Before we check how you can find your LinkedIn profile URL, we should keep in mind that LinkedIn allows its users to customize their profile URLs. By default, your LinkedIn URL will start with your name followed by random numbers like so www.linkedin.com/in/yourname-24182b321/
While you don’t have much control over your profile URL on platforms such as 𝕏/Twitter or Instagram, on LinkedIn you can customize your URL to any name you want as long as that URL is not used by any other person.
We will check how we can customize our LinkedIn URL, but first let’s check how you can find it first.
