Joe Biden – 4 million
With the new year rolling in, it was time for a new beginning. And, the most liked tweet of 2021 signalled just that.
It was a tweet from the newly elected President of the USA, Joe Biden on the day of his inauguration, that read “It’s a new day in America.”

The tweet with 4 million likes truly marked a new beginning as we could all finally let out a sigh of relief and put the drama of the election behind us.
Barack Obama – 2.7 million
Tweet number four on the Top 5 chart was congratulatory messages for the newly elected Presi from a friend and former boss Barack Obama.

Kamala Harris – 2.2 million
And, rounding out the list of Top 5 most liked tweets of 2021 was a tweet from the running mate of President Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, letting the world know she was “ready to serve”.-

The tweet from the first-ever woman to serve as a Vice President in the USA received 2.2 million likes.
Jungkook – 3.2 million
The Top 5 tweets of 2021 weren’t all political though. Second on the list was a tweet from BTS member, Jungkook. The tweet featured a pout-faced selfie and a kissing face emoji for the caption.

The tweet received 3.2 million likes, making Jungkook the first and only artist to have two tweets get 3 million likes.
Twitter – 3.3 million
Number three on the list was a three-word greeting to everyone from Twitter’s account. The tweet got over three million likes and a load of replies as people said hello ???? to Twitter.

The Most Retweeted Tweets of 2021
With everything that went on in 2021, it is not surprising that the tweet with the most retweets addressed a social issue.
Covid-19’s origin’s in China brought about with it a lot of Asian hate in 2021. And, many Asian’s had to endure racism, violence, and crime.
To help, BTS used their influence and tweeted #StopAsianHate and #StopAAPIHate along with a statement condemning hatred against Asians.

On a happier note for the #BTSArmy, number four on the Top 5 list of the most retweeted tweets of 2021 was the Recording Academy’s (GRAMMY’s) announcement that BTS would be performing at the GRAMMY awards ceremony.

The second most retweeted tweet of 2021 was Manchester United’s welcome of Cristiano Ronaldo on his return to Old Trafford.

The tweet got close to 600k retweets as the rumor mill finally stopped after weeks of speculation that we might finally get to see Messi and Ronaldo play for the same team.
The third most retweeted tweet of 2021 was Twitter’s three-word greeting to the world. This means Twitter’s three-word hello was the third most-liked and retweeted tweet of 2021. Magic.-
